	The ACT BXR3 Backscatter sensor represents the next generation of X-Ray sensors that are an alternative to all nucleonic backscatter sensors. The ACT BXR3 Backscatter sensor is designed to provide precise, repeatable, on-line, continuous web measurement of basis weight or thickness. Utilizing a non-isotop radiation source (X-Ray) and an ion chamber detector, the BXR3 Backscatter sensor provides improved measurement precision and repeatability when compared with competitive sensors. With the BXR3 there is no need for source wipes and source disposals. The BXR3 sensor is application specific and provides measurement of a wide range of materials from thin films to heavy gage plastic and rubber sheet.
